Our locally-built cedar-strip canoe is supplied by Headwaters
Canoes; we supply paddles and life jackets. Guests can portage
the canoe across the road to the Gatineau River for a self-guided
adventure.
From
May to October take a trip back in time on the Hull/Chelsea/Wakefield
steam train! Take the trip from Hull and spend a relaxing
night or two at Les Trois Érables, explore & experience the village of Wakefield before returning to
Hull by train.

Wakefield offers fine dining and "sampling" in
a choice of restaurants, patisseries and confiseries. Your
hosts will gladly reserve your table in the restaurant of your
choice. We also maintain a selection of menus from local
restaurants to help you choose.
Wakefield has many boutiques, antique stores, gift shops and art
galleries for your browsing pleasure. Khewa is a good example of a quality boutique. Local artist studios are very interesting: try www.mckenziemarcotte.ca. Don’t forget to visit www.laconfiserie.ca for home-made sweet delights. Take home a beautiful
piece of art, a fresh-baked "tortiére", some
hand-made fudge : treasure is easy to find in the village.

Wakefield
has a village walking trail, plus visitors will enjoy a walk to
the Pont Gendron, a picturesque covered bridge, or the Maclaren
Cemetery, where Lester B. Pearson was laid to rest. In the evening,

Sheep Inn,
