The Finest Historical
Bed & Breakfast Inn

in the Gatineau Hills

History, comfort and elegance come together in this grand heritage home built in 1896 and located right across from the Gatineau River in the heart of scenic Wakefield, Quebec – a short twenty-minute drive north of Ottawa-Gatineau.

Our perfectly situated home with its stately rooms and tranquil gardens is now an elegant inn that is ideal for your visit – whether you are here to get away from it all and relax for a few days, or to partake in the many activities that Wakefield and area have to offer.

Combine that with Shana’s three-course gourmet breakfasts, lots of thoughtful amenities and warm hospitality and you will see that this may be your perfect getaway.  Don’t just take it from us – check out the reviews of our previous guests!

Wakefield is a special place and you will see why.  A little bohemian, a lot artsy, surrounded by nature – it’s a riverside village tucked among lush hills that looks pretty much like it did a century ago.

With several excellent restaurants and bars, culture and entertainment the envy of much larger centres and plenty of outdoor activities in the area – what’s not to like?

A real community spirit pervades here, and visitors find there’s an indefinable charm when they stroll about.  And Les Trois Érables is right in the middle of it all!

Across from the general store on one side, an excellent restaurant in the old train station on the other, and a few doors down from a fine bakery and fudge shop.  Only minutes more to walk to the rest of the village, and even into Gatineau Park!

But then you may be content on a lazy summer evening, as so many are, to just sit on our grand porch with a glass of wine and watch the world go by.

Your getaway awaits.  Au plaisir!

Your hosts, Shana and Bruce

From the genuine, enthusiastic welcome to our reluctant departure, we were accommodated in every way.  As a small group of women, we were encouraged to make use of the sitting room, the wrap around porch and the “early riser” breakfast room (where coffee/tea was available). Dietary preferences were noted, without other guests even being aware!  Our stay was a five star experience, to be repeated.
